farm house. - 2 Viewing The old farm house on Hunterson Farm, is an old plantation style structure. Its two stories high, having tall columns going from the front porch area, to a balcony on the second floor. The old house itself is a pale, whitish yellow color with nearly all the windows broken out. There are four levels, the basement, the first floor, the second floor, and the attic. The furniture, decor, and the objects that belonged to the family are all still in their place, all looking like a photo from the antebellum era. The porch wraps all the way around the house, the front ending at a set of steps that meet an over grown, gravel walkway. Willow trees filled with Spanish moss line the walk way. Various small creatures call this area of the farm home, ranging from rabbits that live beneath the porch, to rats, squirrels, possums, and raccoons all call the inside of the house home. Even in its deteriorated state, the farm house is still a stunning sight. Sub-board: attic. |

old barn. The old barn was never as nice looking as the farm’s family house. It, even in its running days, was never in the best of condition. Made of old logs, being big enough to hold up to eight animals such as horses, cows, or oxen, it was moderately sized. It is slightly shorter than the house, with a loft in the top. Hay still can be found up in the loft, moldy, rotting, and rat filled. Owls and other birds call this place home as well. Many of the stalls have been left open, providing a good place to rest, many canines seeking refuge here during snow storms. A store room and a tack room are also connected to the barn, the store room mostly having rats that have eaten away the grain that used to be kept there. |
