COMPLETE APPEARANCE:
Scyka is not a big male, nor is he brawny-- but what he lacks in physical size, he makes up for in the sharpness of his tongue. He stands at a meager 22 inches high at the shoulder and is slightly malnourished, as he has been without the aide of a pack for many a moon, but it does not show in the swagger with which he moves. He holds himself a proud young thing, his head always held aloft and his eyes glinting with unsaid taunts. His fur is a lovely shade of fox-like russet, save for his delicate underside and the insides of his legs, which are a contrasting cream, and his tail, which is dusted with black fur. The only notable scar that mars his flesh is a good-sized circular patch of puckered skin on the front of his left shoulder, where a chunk of flesh was torn away by a former pack mate when he was chased from his home. His eyes are a lovely shade of rich amber, formed into little over-round almond shaped gems. He is not an unattractive male, to be sure, though his unkempt pelt has led more than a few females along his journey to assume him a ruffian...


PERSONALITY:
TRAITS: Witty and sarcastic, silver tongued, proud, adventurous, affable, intelligent, passionate, secretly a romantic, and he prefers not to be serious if he can help it, "resourceful" (other canine's and creatures being his recourses), a bit of a "user".
COMPLETE PERSONALITY:
Scyka has ever been a witty lad-- often too much so for his own good, as his big mouth and silvered tongue often got him into trouble with the many other creatures he had encountered who loathed being jested at. He hates those without a sense of humor, and makes a special point to make jabs at them all the more for it, and of course it helps that they are often unaware that he is joking at their expense. He is often seen as loud-mouthed and occasionally childish, but he takes these comments in stride. He is a proud young thing, and not easily wounded. He has found that if he embraces the things that could be seen as his disadvantages and shortcomings, that he is less likely to be affected by it when another brings it to light. Syx is always looking for adventure of some sort-- be it traveling to a new place (now that he has been presented the freedom to do so), searching out the sense of a strange smell, or even something as exciting as exploring the origins of a local legend or story. This, of course, doesn't help with his being labeled as childish, but a man likes what he likes! Deep underneath his sarcastic exterior, in the presumably black and shriveled organ that should be his heart, Scyka is a surprisingly passionate and almost romantic guy-- though he would never willingly admit to such a thing, and he longs to settle down with an equally adventurous female and start a family of his own... After all, what better adventure is there than raising ones own pups and teaching them, loving and nurturing them, and watching them grow to be their own individual? Despite his often being seen as hard to handle, Scyka is an amazingly affable young male. He enjoys his social gatherings, and even goes so far as to crave pack life and the constant thrum of activity that comes in tow, despite his harsh and prickly outer shell. Although many would call him childish, he is rather intelligent for his age-- being sharp of mind and sharp of tongue, he finds it easy to glean knowledge from his surroundings and the creatures he encounters, and then makes a point to put said information to memory indefinitely (or, as indefinitely as ones memory can be, that is). He has adapted to become quite good at manipulating and using others to get what he wants-- one of his most prized skills, in his eyes. He will not flinch to use his words to get what he wants, though let it never be said that he is not a man of his word-- he always repays his debts, though the "how" of it is not always to the other involved parties' liking...

COMPLETE HISTORY:
Scyka had a relatively uneventful puphood-- he was born to two highly respected Betas of a pack composed of primarily members of his own species, with a few oddball mixes and other such things thrown in to keep things interesting. His father was a proud male who craved a son and heir-- so, being the only male in a litter of three, the responsibility of succeeding his father fell to the still whimpering young fireball. As he grew, however, it became increasingly evident that he was not the least bit interested in taking over the duties of a high ranking pack member after his father became sickly and passed on, and his father became angry. He became ever forceful with his mate to produce another heir and, subsequently (if the gods were kind), another heir. The pair had grown old, however, and after repeated failed attempts to conceive, his poor mother took her own life due to the increasingly volatile mood and constant insults from her lord husband. The loss struck their father and the three young pups hard, and their father's demeanor changed once more-- though whether or not is was for the better was a near constant debate. He became less angry, but more and more reserved-- speaking to as few others as possible, and often neglecting his children and his duties as Beta for the quiet and seclusion of his own den. As Scyka grew, he became increasingly rebellious, disobedient, and frivolous (the absolute polar opposite of his sisters, who fit into the role of young daughters of a respected advisor to the alpha)-- much to the dismay of his father, who shunned him more and more with each passing day. He and his sisters never grew close, and he can't recall much about either of the drab and boring puppets save for their names. The final straw came when he was found shacked up with the Alpha pair's eldest daughter, a female who was intended for a neighboring pack's heir. Such an outrage, it was, that his father disowned him on the spot and the alpha ordered him to be run from the pack lands, or else face death. He argued at first, but after having a chunk of flesh and fur ripped from his shoulder, he quickly took the option that would have the best outcome for himself. As he ran, he heard the sound of the lovely young female he had taken more than a fair liking to being cut down and shed the last tear he would shed for a very long time. His newfound freedom (something he had always craved) seemed empty in that he found himself alone, and unable to find the warmth of a beautiful female, nor the comfort that comes with pack life, and he was forced to grow up (to an extent, at least) quickly. He became bitter at first, angry even, and eventually he turned that anger into his much loved sarcasm-- becoming prickly and snarky on the outside to conceal the shame he felt at what had happened, and to cope with the loneliness he felt now that he now faced... We find him now, at the end of his travels, in Islara. Whether he will find fortune smiling upon him, or another short stick to be drawn is yet to be seen.
