No New Posts hal's diner.

Hal's used to be the place where everyone went. It was a small, old diner, built originally in the fifties. It even still had most of the original look to it, before it was left to rot in today's world. With it's black and white tile floors, thick red, now ratty bar stool cushions, round tables, and window side booths, the presence of large, wide red and white bar brought together the entire little diner, along with the various fifties decorations that can still be found in it. Now, though, everything is deteriorated, decaying, fading, and slowly losing the old feel that it used to have. Rats still inhabit the back kitchen, scrounging on what ever can be found that nothing else could get to. It's still a nice place though. Just watch out for broken glass, and wobbly chairs.

No New Posts shelby's pet boutique.

Shelby's Pet Boutique used to be where pet owners, rich and poor, used to come to pamper their pets. Dogs and cats would get groomed, while their owners looked around for various objects such as bags of food, toys, beds, and other pet related objects. Now most of the things still lay on their shelves, ruined by rats, or on the rare occasion simply just dirty. This is an interesting place to explore, and a nice place to rest. Even with the windows shattered, and some of the shelves tipped over, many of the things stay standing, including the massive fish tank at one side of the store, that is still its own thriving ecosystem behind the two inch thick fiber glass.

No New Posts evergreen.

Evergreen, a place that some avoided due to the herbal remedies sold that didn't just simply heal the sick. Evergreen was a voodoo shop of sorts. Some of the plants still grow in their pots, over flowing, filling the air with their rich scents. The shelves still stand, bolted to the floor, filled with jars of various different things, some broken, some still holding their unidentifiable contents. Brick dust is around all the windows, and doors, smudged, blown, and tracked through out most of the store because of the wind. Most that are superstitious of the supernatural don't venture here, because of the feeling it gives off, a clear indication that witchcraft, and other black magic took place behind the beaded wall marked with a sign that says 'DO NOT ENTER'. The back room is where Madame Izza used to live, her belongings still laying where the old witch left them. Though, like many things around it, the once eerily beautiful store is losing even its own special luster.

No New Posts hugo's general store.

Hugo's General store, opened the same year that the city of Islara was founded. The old mostly wooden interior is slowly rotting away, though years of excellent up keep has resulted in the slowed decay of the building where most would have fallen. The old style shelves still stand, sagging under their own weight, no longer holding much, since several shelves have broken on most, sending the contents to the floor where they've been eaten away by rats and other animals. Most products that the General Store held, that weren't edible are still found, even a stack of highly faded, completely ruined magazines stand on the counter beside the ancient cash register. In the back room, you'll find mounds of boxes, and a stair case that leads up into a loft. The loft is filled with old furniture, where the most recent owner, Alden, slept after he lost his house. All the windows are broken, two or three having a small bit of the glass still clinging to their frames, though for the most part, Hugo's has gone to the dogs.

No New Posts emery's bed and breakfast.

Emery's Bed and Breakfast used to be where everyone would direct someone passing through Islara. The two story, house looking structure at the edge of Main Street still has its furniture, decorations, and even the once well groomed gardens in front, and behind the building are still thriving with their plants that always grow back, though now choked by weeds. The front door has long been shattered, leaving two open gaps where glass plains use to be, making the inside easy to access. The inside while dulled, and deteriorated by age still looks generally the same. Most cloth materials have been eaten by moths, most things chewed upon by rats and termites, but its all still there. It's a nice place to get out of the rain, and for a canine to rest weary paws.

islara main street.
The main street of Islara is where most of the hustle and bustle of the city used to happen. Now it's a area of shattered store fronts, grass pushing up through black asphalt, and abandoned cars lining the streets.
